SnowflakeComputing, a provider of cloud-based data warehousing, and MicroStrategy, a provider of enterprise software platforms, are teaming up to provide cloud-enabled analytics. The collaboration will build on Snowflake’s certified connectivity with MicroStrategy 10 through further product integration and go-to-market collaboration.
Snowflake’s Elastic Data Warehouse is a data warehouse provided as a cloud-native service, built for analytics. Snowflake automates infrastructure, management and optimization so that organizations can focus on using their data instead of managing infrastructure.
Snowflake’s native support for diverse data, both structured and semi-structured, gives analysts direct data access while enabling flexibility and performance.
With the combination of MicroStrategy 10 and Snowflake’s Elastic Data Warehouse, the companies say, MicroStrategy users will benefit from interactive performance enabled by the native connector for Snowflake, and be able to leverage the processing power of the Snowflake data warehouse by pushing data joins and complex calculations to the database when possible. In this way, they say, joint customers can gain the speed and flexibility of data discovery without sacrificing the security of a governed enterprise analytics environment.
