Micro Focus, a provider of enterprise application modernization solutions, announced a global licensing agreement with Stefanini, an IT systems integrator and outsourcing services provider, to boost Stefanini's mainframe modernization and support services. The agreement enables the international systems integrator's customers to benefit from Micro Focus' Enterprise Developer for zEnterprise and Enterprise Test Server products. Micro Focus and Stefanini have agreed on a subscription model for product availability to an initial 300 developers at the outset, with an option to increase this number going forward.
"Almost half of testing and development projects are outsourced, with CIOs predicting a 14.5% increase in outsourced projects in the next two years,” said Kevin Brearley, director of product management at Micro Focus. “This predicted increase in the levels of outsourced application development will require effective technology solutions from systems integrators."
Stefanini selected Micro Focus' enterprise product set as part of its goal to use best-in-class technology to deliver mainframe consulting services. Micro Focus technology is designed to help transform mainframe application development, testing and workload optimization. Traditional mainframe analysis, development, testing and workload deployment processes are accelerated to enhance all elements of the zEnterprise application delivery journey.
