Micro Focus has announced plans to build a secure and compliant government cloud for U.S. Government customers. According to Micro Focus, as the federal government accelerates digital transformation and smart adoption of highly secure cloud platforms to help protect mission-critical information, this effort will allow for them to leverage Micro Focus’ IT capabilities to compose service offerings for advanced cases in IT Operations Management and DevSecOps.
“Providing a government cloud demonstrates Micro Focus’ continued commitment to the U.S. Government and shows that we are a strategic partner when it comes to helping with digital transformation and cloud modernization,” said Phil Rayment, vice president of federal sales for Micro Focus. “The Micro Focus Government Cloud also demonstrates an alignment with Federal IT Acquisition Regulation Act (FITARA) cost reduction goals, the Federal Information Security Act (FISMA), along with government wide cloud adoption and strategic data management objectives.”
Key services of the Micro Focus Government Cloud include:
- Comprehensive IT Operations Management: A curated set of integrated capabilities to support advanced and ITIL-compliant IT operations management including service management, service assurance, service fulfilment, and governance.
- DevSecOps: Enterprise services for IT Portfolio/Project management that support both Waterfall and Agile work patterns, as well as functional testing, quality and test management and performance engineering.
Initially accredited as FedRAMP Moderate, the Micro Focus Government Cloud’s control baseline is designed to fully support FedRAMP High and DoD’s Impact Level 4 authorizations in the future.
