Melissa Data's NCOA services reduce the cost of undeliverable mail and improve campaign effectiveness by enabling successful communication with customers that have moved.
Melissa Data's NCOA capabilities now cover Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, in addition to Canadian NCOA and USPS NCOALink processing in the U.S.
According to Greg Brown, vice president of marketing, Melissa Data, international NCOA processing extends the company’s capabilities and helps customers optimize mailing strategies to reduce costs, and eliminate undeliverable mail worldwide.
Melissa Data is an NCOALink Full Service Provider licensee of the USPS and can match a mailing list against the full USPS NCOALink dataset of approximately 160 million records, which includes all permanent change-of-address records filed with the USPS over the last 48 months. NCOA-verified mail allows mailers to receive bulk discounts, minimizing undeliverable-as-addressed (UAA) mail and its corresponding processing requirements.
In addition, NCOA guidelines help mailers meet stringent data quality regulations specific to their region. For example, the company notes, Canada's in-country processing requirements are designed to protect privacy of its citizens and increase accountability of data handlers. Melissa Data is licensed by Canada Post to provide Canadian NCOA processing, matching data against more than 10 million change-of-address records filed by Canadian households and businesses within the last 72 months.
