Kore Technologies, a provider of enterprise integration and e-commerce web solutions for MultiValue and Microsoft SQL Server databases has announced the availability of Kourier Integrator - Release 4. According to Keith Lambert, vice president of marketing and business development at Kore, "increased connectivity" is the theme for this new release, which includes enhancements for connecting with more data sources.
Kourier Integrator is an enterprise integration suite providing both extract, transform, and load (ETL) and enterprise application integration (EAI) capabilities for connecting Rocket Software UniData/UniVerse (U2) applications to Microsoft SQL Server and other best-in-class applications.
Release 4 includes three major enhancements, says Lambert:
- The ability to seamlessly integrate and consolidate information from U2 and/or other data sources (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft Access, and text files) into a Microsoft SQL Server database - This gives companies the ability to manage data from their islands of automation using a single ETL/EAI solution. "Before we could only pull U2 data and some flat file data, but now we are opening it up to pull other types of data into that enterprise data warehouse. More of the companies that we deal with have not just UniData or UniVerse at their corporate sites, they have other data sources and they want to pull that data into the SQL warehouse in an organized manner," explains Lambert. “That was really key for us in terms of supporting our larger clients that have these multiple data sources.”
- Native support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and Integration Services (SSIS) - This is important for companies that want to leverage the latest database technology from Microsoft, and take advantage of the additional performance that will help them move large amounts of data quickly. With more and more people wanting to adopt the latest release from Microsoft, we had to make sure we were compatible,” says Lambert.
- Improved RESTful Web Services Interface (RESTful 2.0) – This provides a new RESTful web interface specification page for building RESTful Web services; integrated testing and URL generation capabilities within the same page; and the ability to define Dynamic Named Parameters to use when calling RESTful web service. “We really streamlined that interface,” says Lambert. “The RESTful interface 2.0 provides another way to use your U2 system as a hub but still share that information in other places.”
