Intralinks Holdings, Inc., a SaaS provider of inter-enterprise content management and collaboration solutions, has announced the next generation of its secure enterprise file-sharing and collaboration solution. Intralinks VIA addresses the security issues posed by file-sharing among employees, particularly those in regulated industries and with companies with stringent security requirements
With expanded administrative capabilities to enable greater visibility, governance and control to business groups, VIA 1.2 gives IT administrators new capabilities for managing policies that control how users and business groups share information, while providing a user experience that encourages collaborative working. In the new release, for example, administrators can mandate the level of security that users must apply to their collaboration projects or can prevent certain users from syncing content with their personal devices.
New capabilities available with the latest release include the ability for administrators to set policies for sharing work streams; the ability for administrators to specify the desktop devices on which users can access the Intralinks VIA Drive; enables administrators to remotely wipe all content from all synchronized devices whether the device is online or offline; enables administrators to define work stream archive dates; and enables administrators to generate granular audit and usage reports that provide a holistic view of the Intralinks VIA environment.
