Informatica, a leader in enterprise AI-powered cloud data management, is announcing an expansion of its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform services on Google Cloud, now featuring support for the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Additionally, Informatica is unveiling new API Center and Cloud Data Access Management (CDAM) services that run natively on Google Cloud.
Expanded IDMC services on Google Cloud offers various benefits, centralized around full support for Databricks on Google Cloud with over 300 connectors for data ingestion. With this integration comes no-code pipelines running naively within Databricks for data preparation and transformation; data quality and profiling for data within the Databricks Data Intelligence platform; and enterprise-wide governance through frictionless integration with Unity Catalog.
"Informatica's expanded services with Databricks on Google Cloud delivers a seamless experience that will benefit our joint customers as they build data intelligence," said Roger Murff, vice president of technology partners at Databricks. "This unified approach helps eliminate data silos between platforms, enabling organizations to manage their data assets holistically while leveraging the full capabilities of both Databricks and Informatica IDMC on Google Cloud.”
"This strategic expansion with Google Cloud and Databricks enables our joint customers to accelerate their GenAI, AI, and analytics initiatives while maintaining the highest levels of data governance and security,” said Rik Tamm-Daniels, global vice president at Informatica. “Together, Informatica and Google Cloud enable better business outcomes across a wide variety of industries, including retail, financial services, and healthcare. Organizations can leverage the Informatica-Google Cloud partnership to improve their customer experiences, optimize supply chains, and enhance compliance with a strong foundation of trusted data.”
In addition to Databricks support, Informatica is debuting two new services: API Center and CDAM.
The API Center brings the next generation of API management, according to Informatica, enabling enterprises to expose data products and any IDMC process as a rich API ecosystem. This offers:
- Deployment of APIs across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments
- Definition of GenAI and agent APIs for AI apps and processes
- Enhanced API security features, such as rate limiting and IP filtering
- API governance for enterprise services, business processes, and AI apps
- Advanced monitoring to identify and analyze unauthorized access
The CDAM enables secure data sharing and usage that supports access policy compliance through a set of automated controls, accelerating trusted data access. These controls include intelligent policy authoring—which aligns with business use, risk tolerance, and regulatory frameworks such as EU GDPR, CPRA, or HIPAA—without the need to code.
Additionally, all these expanded services enable cost efficiency for customers and their data platforms through an integration with BigQuery for scale, governance, and model inference, as well as integration with Vertex AI for advanced use cases and agentic workflows, according to Informatica.
"We're pleased to see the deepening relationship between Google and Informatica," said Ritika Suri, managing director, AI and data ISV partnerships at Google Cloud. "These expanded capabilities on Google Cloud will make it easier for our joint customers to ensure their data is AI-ready, enabling more advanced AI use cases like agentic AI in Google Cloud."
