Improvements to Newly Dubbed Apica Ascent Focuses on Simplistic Operations for Data Consumption

As a provider of digital performance monitoring, Apica Systems is debuting improved functionality for their platform, newly renamed to Apica Ascent. These enhancements are made with the enterprise’s Web 3.0 vision in mind—allowing for optimized data consumption, wherever convenient for the user, with reduced friction in dashboarding.

"We work with some of the largest forward-thinking companies globally—from finance and manufacturing to entertainment—who need to test and monitor mission-critical applications and their end user's journey," said Jason Haworth, CPO at Apica. "We have made it a priority to listen to and even anticipate our customers' needs while delivering the best-in-class digital performance monitoring platform. Our plan is to make monitoring easier for any organization looking toward Web 3.0 and beyond."

The latest enhancements to Apica Ascent include:

  • Scripted Checks for the increased ability to monitor systems regardless of code interface, replace self-managed on-premises software with scripting engines, and development of scripts through both popular scripting languages and home-grown ones.
  • Lambda Checks for fully cloud-based enterprises seeking to monitor resources within their AWS Virtual Private Clouds in accordance with appropriate permissions, increasing visibility into secured application components without requiring security exceptions for external agents.
  • Grafana integration via the Grafana plugin for incorporation of Apica Ascent with users’ on-site deployment of Grafana, supplying customizeable views of application monitoring for predictive issue awareness. The integration also removes the need to deploy a Grafana server within an organization’s infrastructure, and further enables Single Sign-On (SSO) for quick data access.
  • SSO for Apica’s Load Testing (ALT), bringing quick data access and the ability to integrate ASM and ALT with their Enterprise User Management system using SAML 2.0.
