Data security provider Imperva has announced upgrades to its Database Audit and Protection (DAP) solution, SecureSphere Database Activity Monitoring 9.5. The company has also released a new version of its free database vulnerability scanner, Scuba 2.0. These solutions provide new features and capabilities that meet the security needs of large and distributed enterprise data centers by protecting data warehouses.
With full support for Teradata Database, Oracle Exadata, and Sybase IQ, SecureSphere 9.5 has expanded its support of data warehouse environments to encompass all leading data warehouse solutions. The new version has been simplified and provides enhancements such as multi-agent configuration and automated authentication setup for agents. “One aspect of what we announced is a collection of capabilities that make the product more suitable for very large deployments,” Mark Kraynak, Imperva’s vice president of marketing, tells 5 Minute Briefing.
Imperva has also released a new version of its free, downloadable vulnerability scanner, Scuba 2.0. This tool provides actionable information that can bolster database security and reduce the risk of theft of sensitive data, and stays current with regular updates to stay on top of threats. “We’ve expanded the support for more databases and we’ve updated the content that it scans for,” explains Kraynak, in reference to Scuba 2.0.
