IDERA, a provider of database, development, and test management tools, announced it is acquiring AquaFold, a provider of cross-platform database tools. AquaFold will join IDERA’s database development and management portfolio, enabling the company to expand its multi-platform support.
AquaFold’s Aqua Data Studio is used by more than 300,000 IT professionals in 98 countries to help them design, develop, model and administer their databases. It provides an integrated database environment that supports the most popular open source version control systems, legacy enterprise and open source relational databases, and NoSQL databases, and works on all major operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
AquaFold recently released Aqua Data Studio 18, providing schema synchronization which enables users to seamlessly deploy differences from a source to a target database schema. The latest version enhances Visual Analytics to provide business intelligence users more ways to analyze their ever-growing data volumes quickly and efficiently.
