SAP is offering a new solution to help customers quickly adopt SAP cloud solutions by using a phased and non-disruptive approach. The SAP ERP HCM Integration to SuccessFactors rapid-deployment solution is intended to enable customers to keep their implementation on track, on time and on budget. The approach is comprised of integration tools based on standard APIs and pre-packaged integration content — both on premise and cloud-based — with the end goal of lowering cost, and increasing speed and simplicity for customers running hybrid deployment scenarios.
Rapid deployment of SAP ERP HCM Integration to SuccessFactors combines pre-configuration and consulting services with prepackaged integration between the 6.0 version of the SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) solution and SuccessFactors Business Execution (BizX) suite. It aims to deliver quick set-up and implementation of bi-directional pay-for-performance process integration between SAP ERP HCM and SuccessFactors
Compensation, and full and incremental SAP employee and organizational management data upload to SuccessFactors BizX. This standardization enables quick and easy implementation at a fixed scope and price, according to SAP.
“Customers turn to the cloud for streamlining their IT infrastructures, improving information access and worker collaboration, and lowering costs,” Peter Russo, senior director of marketing for SAP Rapid-Deployment Solutions, tells 5 Minute Briefing.
“Companies of all sizes can leverage the preconfigured software, content, and tools within each SAP rapid-deployment solution,” Russo notes. “Over 150 rapid-deployment solutions are offered across SAP's full portfolio, including lines of business, industry solutions, mobile, analytics, cloud and database and technology solutions. In particular, existing customers who run SAP ERP HCM can receive the fastest time to value by extending their core HR functionality to SuccessFactors through this rapid-deployment solution.”
This is the fourth SAP Rapid Deployment solution supporting hybrid deployments. The SAP Business Collaboration rapid-deployment solution brings together the SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) application with the SAP Jam social software platform; the SAP Information Interchange OnDemand rapid-deployment solution combines components of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) application SAP ERP with the SAP Information OnDemand solution to support indirect procurement processes; and the SAP Business Suite Integration with the Ariba Network rapid-deployment-solution brings together back-end SAP software securely and reliably to the Ariba Network.
“For certain customers there will be some processes and datasets that are too valuable to move into the cloud either because of privacy concerns, security, legal restrictions or how integral they are to the business,” Russo points out. “With a hybrid approach, customers can keep these processes on-premise and move non-sensitive data and processes into the cloud. They will still achieve efficiencies in their IT infrastructure without the threat of a significant disruption that could cripple their business.
