HP has announced a new financing offer to help organizations accelerate decision making with SAP In-Memory Appliance software (SAP HANA) running on HP Converged Infrastructure. The financing program from HP includes HP infrastructure and services as well as SAP HANA software licenses.
In addition, HP ProLiant DL980 G7 and HP ProLiant DL580 G7 systems are among the first HP platforms certified by SAP for running SAP HANA, giving assurance to organizations that they can achieve increased flexibility, rapid provisioning and a highly reliable architecture with their HP and SAP solution. The HP ProLiant DL980 G7 configuration system is certified for databases between 2.5 terabytes (TB) and 5TB. The HP ProLiant DL580 G7 configuration system is for databases up to 2.5TB. HP and SAP also are cooperating on the development of a solution for databases larger than 5TB.
HP showcased its close collaboration with SAP at the SAPPHIRE NOW customer conference earlier this month. HP was one of SAP's featured technology partners at the In-Memory Computing Test Drive Area at SAPPHIRE NOW, hosting a strategic workforce planning demo scenario on an HP ProLiant DL580 G7 server.
"Organizations must react faster to change, make informed decisions in real time and discover trends and patterns before their competitors," said Martin Fink, senior vice president and general manager, Business Critical Systems, HP. "SAP HANA running on HP Converged Infrastructure and financed through HP Financial Services will help organizations manage high volumes of data as well as the cost of operating multiple warehouses and transaction systems."
"We've worked closely with HP to develop a comprehensive platform and services in support of SAP HANA," noted Jake Klein, senior vice president, Data and Analytic Engines, SAP AG. "HP's new financing offer, with its certified infrastructure and comprehensive services, will help address our joint customers' data analytics needs."
