GridGain Announces Version 7.0 In-Memory Data Fabric Built on Apache Ignite

GridGain Systems, provider of open source and commercial in-memory data fabric solutions, is introducing a new release of the GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric Enterprise Edition built on Apache Ignite. Available for download in early in Q2, the new release includes ease-of-use and automation features to help simplify the deployment of the software as well as the migration from legacy in-memory data grids.

“With this new release, which has been architected to take advantage of the innovations available in the Apache Ignite code base, we are making simplified deployment, ease of use and automation priorities that will propel our customers toward the new world of fast data,” said Abe Kleinfeld, president and CEO of GridGain.  “GridGain is committed to serving companies operating in a real-time business environment, where the ability to take immediate action on live data is becoming a competitive necessity.”

The GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric is a complete, enterprise-grade software solution for enabling high-volume transactions, real-time analytics and hybrid transactional-analytical processing in a single, highly scalable data access and processing layer.

Through its unified APIs,  the GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric offers speed and scale to applications (including Java, .NET, C++) and allows queries across diverse data stores containing structured, semi-structured and unstructured data (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop). Unlike legacy in-memory point solutions, such as data grids or in-memory databases, an in-memory data fabric offers a strategic approach to in-memory computing, while reducing the cost and complexity of deploying high-performance data processing.

According to the company, the GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric offers predictable latency at any scale, flexible horizontal and vertical scaling, configurable data consistency, high availability and enhanced security, and has been designed to run on commodity hardware on-premises and in the cloud.
