Gluster, a provider of open source storage solutions, announced a partnership with Redapt, Inc., a data center architecture and infrastructure solutions provider. Under this agreement, Redapt will integrate GlusterFS with hardware providing customers with Network-Attached Storage (NAS) storage technology for on-premise, virtual and cloud environments.
"With the dramatic rise of unstructured data, storage has quickly become a major pain point for enterprises," says Matt Huff, vice president of business development at Redapt. "This partnership with Gluster brings a great technology to our storage offerings and is enabling us to offer a comprehensive, cost-effective storage solution that delivers the scalability, performance and reliability that our customers need to effectively run their data centers."
Gluster's storage solutions enable companies to deploy storage as a virtualized, commoditized, and scale-on-demand pool, improving storage economics. Gluster is deployable both on-premise (as a virtual appliance or bare-metal software appliance) and in public clouds such as Amazon Web Services.
