DataOps has emerged as an agile methodology to improve the speed and accuracy of analytics through new data management practices and processes—from data quality and integration to model deployment and management.
Companies implement DataOps because of business problems with slow development, too many errors, poor coordination, and no measurement.
DataOps provides the foundation for analytic excellence. With DataOps in place teams are productive, responsive, and efficient.
However, one of the biggest challenges in getting a DataOps initiative started is knowing where to begin.
Chris Bergh, CEO and head chef, DataKitchen, will lead a workshop on DataOps titled, “Getting Started With DataOps: Orchestrating The Three Pipelines” at the Data Summit Connect Fall 2020 conference.
Bergh will show how DataOps is not as hard to implement as one might think as the benefits can be realized by orchestrating three different data pipelines—Production, Development, and Environment.
In this workshop, he’ll describe the three pipelines and show how to orchestrate them to realize the benefits of DataOps.
Specifically, he’ll provide practical steps for orchestrating: Production Pipelines for Low Errors; Development Pipelines for Fast and Fearless Deployment; and Environment Pipelines for Reusability and Security.
He predicts DataOps will gain acceptance in the same manner as DevOps and agile methodologies that have succeeded in the software development side of the house.
Insights-hungry enterprises looking to bring improved quality and reduced cycle times to data analytics should attend this workshop.
Registration is now open for Data Summit Connect Fall 2020, a series of data management and analytics webinars presented by DBTA and Big Data Quarterly that will take place October 20-22.
In addition to the regular program, two pre-conference workshops, "Introduction To Knowledge Graphs" and "Getting Started With DataOps: Orchestrating The Three Pipelines," will be offered on October 19.
Plan to attend Data Summit Connect to hear the innovative approaches that the world’s leading companies are taking to solve today’s key challenges in data management.
