In addition to OpenInsight 10, Revelation offers OpenInsight for Web (O4W) which is a rapid web application development tool that lets users generate responsive forms, reports, and dashboards.
O4W has been designed by MultiValue developers for MultiValue developers and DBTA recently held a webinar with Robert Catalano, director of sales and marketing, Revelation Software, and Bryan Shumsky, senior software developer, Revelation Software, who discussed how it can transform the business.
Designed for MultiValue developers, O4W works with D3, QM, Universe, Unidata, and OpenInsight databases, according to Catalano and Shumsky. The solution utilizes JavaScript, XHTML, jQuery, jQuery Mobile, and AJAX.
O4W has two design modes: Wizards and API’s via BASIC+, Catalano and Shumsky explained. Wizards provide the ability to create menus, forms, reports, and dashboards with limited or no HTML/XML/JavaScript experience. And API’s provide for the development of more complex applications or fine-tuned control of web output.
O4W offers MV Data connectors for several flavors of SQL, Couchbase, as well as MultiValue databases including D3, QM, Universe and Unidata.
The solution also provides users with a rapid web application development tool that generates responsive forms, reports, and dashboards.
