Druva, a leading provider of data security, is forming a strategic relationship with Microsoft to help enterprises protect and secure their data against evolving cyberthreats.
According to the companies, Druva and Microsoft will empower customers with cloud-native and hybrid data protection, integrated with Microsoft Azure cloud services. As enterprises expand their critical data in the cloud, Druva and Microsoft will deliver cyber resiliency to ensure business continuity.
Druva’s cloud-native solutions protect and secure business data wherever it lives. Druva’s collaboration with Microsoft will offer businesses enhanced cyber resiliency with cross-cloud protection, unified visibility across data environments, and more comprehensive data security strategies, the companies said.
“So traditionally, in our space, companies have sold customers technology, software, hardware, piece parts, and then it's up to the customer to sort of build the solution with those piece parts. Druva comes in and says, we do the job for you. We're a SaaS offering; we take care of protecting your data for you, no matter where it lives,” said Stephen Manley, chief technology officer of Druva. With the company’s relationship with Microsoft, Druva “takes care of everything for you in Microsoft, Azure, or in AWS. And so giving them [customers] that choice is really the industry's first, true integrated multi-cloud solution, where it's not up to the customers to build it. They simply get to choose, because Druva is taking care of it for them.”
This offering affords customers “yet another degree of comfort in terms of if any part of my environment is compromised, my data is really, really separated somewhere else,” said Manley.
With Druva’s cloud-native platform, Druva is designed to mitigate cyber risk and empower customers to secure and recover data from all threats.
“The most exciting part, really, is that cross cloud resiliency,” said Manley. “Almost all of them [our customers] look and say, ‘One of my biggest challenges is, how do I build up expertise in all these different clouds, because…each of them are different. Each of them has really cool advantages that if you can maximize, you get tremendous value out of that cloud.’”
“The ability for Druva to come in and say, we will help optimize those clouds for you, so that your data is protected and secured, so you don't have to worry about it, so you get that cross-cloud resiliency, but you don't have to do it yourself,” continued Manley.
Through this integration with Azure, customers benefit with:
- Cloud flexibility
- Unlimited scalability
- Unified data security
- Global deduplication
“With the power of Cloud, Druva’s data security capabilities deliver what enterprises require to keep their data safe,” said Sandy Gupta, vice president, global ISV ecosystem at Microsoft. “Druva is one of the leaders in SaaS data security, and we’re confident our joint customers will gain the cyber resilience they need to minimize the impact of any cyber incident. With Druva and Microsoft Azure, customers will be empowered to further grow their business in the cloud.”
This strategic relationship builds on Druva and Microsoft’s ongoing collaboration to secure data for the enterprise.
“Druva already covers 20-plus AWS regions. The ability to work with Microsoft and Azure will also enable us to be able to cover even more of the globe and deliver services to people where they want them to be delivered,” said Manley.
With extensive integration across the Microsoft ecosystem, Druva provides comprehensive protection for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 (including Microsoft 365 Backup Storage), Microsoft EntraID, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and multiple Azure technologies.
The Druva Data Security Cloud will soon be available via the Azure Marketplace in the coming months.
