Delphix, a provider of agile data solutions, is partnering with DBmaestro, a provider of DevOps for database solutions. The partnership will allow Delphix to give enterprise application teams the tools required to bring new applications to market faster by effectively dealing with the what they say is the largest obstacle in modern enterprise application development – the growing volumes of data that make it difficult for developers and testers from deliver on time, on budget, and with the quality required.
Delphix is the provider of an agile data platform that aims to deliver the right data to the right team at the right time; and DBmaestro’s flagship product is TeamWork, a database enforced change management (DECM) solution.
According to the companies, organizations of every size are dealing with pressure to bring new or upgraded applications to market sooner, and application teams must work in parallel to complete projects in less time but with higher quality. However, they contend, traditional methods of data management, tied to physical databases, are simply too slow to support the pace of modern application development.
With the combination of Delphix and DBmaestro, the companies say, users can create as many copies of large development and test databases as needed, in a fraction of the time and cost. In addition, teams or individual developers can work in parallel, with an enforced version control process, making sure best practices are followed, and integrating and merging their individual database changes, thus completing application development projects in 50% less time.
“Application teams want to move faster and parallel testing can help,” said Rick Caccia, VP of strategy and marketing at Delphix. “Delphix plus DBmaestro enables development teams to move quickly without stepping on each other, while easily integrating each developer’s database changes.”
