Delphix’s flagship product, the Delphix Agile Data Platform, has introduced database virtualization for SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (SAP ASE). The Delphix Agile Data Platform, was announced as an SAP-endorsed business solution in 2013. Currently in beta testing with SAP and Delphix customers, Delphix’s new support of SAP ASE is scheduled to become generally available later this summer.
By virtualizing the data in SAP ASE, the companies say, the Delphix Agile Data Platform will help eliminate up to 90% of the database infrastructure costs associated with application development, and also provide unique features to application development teams using SAP ASE. These include the ability to checkout, branch, refresh and rollback database copies of SAP ASE, to accelerate test cycles; integrate data masking to help prevent sensitive data from entering the development and test cycle; and integrate multiple databases to increase accuracy and accelerate data integration and reporting.
“Thousands of organizations rely on SAP ASE to be the engine for their transactions,” said Rick Caccia, vice president of Strategy and Marketing at Delphix. “By acting as a virtual proxy for production data sources, Delphix software accelerates data extraction and migration into SAP HANA for customers.”
