Melissa Data, a provider of contact data quality and direct marketing solutions, has unveiled a new program to increase access to Melissa Data’s products, training and expertise, and help share information about data quality tools for Oracle deployments. The MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Program is specifically geared to Oracle ACEs and other credentialed industry experts and community leaders, and provides full access to Melissa Data core data quality tools for Oracle technologies.
The program was first introduced in November for Microsoft MVPs, offering access to Melissa Data data quality tools for Microsoft technologies, Greg Brown, vice president of marketing at Melissa Data, tells 5 Minute Briefing. “We do extensive work through SQL Saturdays and other community events, and we noticed that there was a thirst for knowledge and desire for tools like ours to help community leaders and others that evangelize Microsoft technology to be able to learn more about data quality, and to implement, and show examples of data quality to their customers,” Brown notes. “We know the Oracle ACE program has top-level Oracle evangelists advocating Oracle technology and would be a good fit since we natively integrate with Oracle, as well.”
Melissa Data’s 32- and 64-bit APIs work natively with Oracle Forms, JAVA, PL/SQL and PeopleSoft forms. MVPs will gain greater expertise using Melissa Data’s recently released international cleansing tools, enabling the scrubbing of address data from 240 countries all over the world, validation of phone numbers, and international location geocoding. Melissa Data MVPs are granted a free, non-commercial license to Melissa Data’s core products for contact data verification and receive cash incentives for referring new customers. Members can include consultants, architects, analysts, database administrators and others; all are encouraged to share bios, credentials and information on industry events within the Melissa Data MVP network.
