The advance program is now available for Database Trends and Applications’ Data Summit, a comprehensive event that will cover the key issues in the world of data management and analysis today.
Data Summit will take place at the New York Hilton Midtown, from May 12 to May 14. Registration is now open with a special early bird registration rate when you register before April 11, 2014.
Keynote speakers will include Rick Smolan, CEO of Against All Odds Productions, which orchestrates global photography projects that combine creative storytelling with state-of-the-art technology. From his presentation, you will be able to better explain the data you work with to nontechnical people in your enterprise and learn how others conceptualize big data.
SAS thought leader Anne Buff will also look at how enterprise search, data and content management, policymaking, oversight, and governance practices will shift (or not) as you add more data capabilities. In her talk, Buff will discuss how, as you explore new insights and capabilities for customer engagement, you can exploit big data, recognize prospects for data monetization, and seize the opportunities of data’s ROI.
Data Summit is targeted at both IT practitioners and business stakeholders, offering an intensive, two-day immersion into the leading technologies and strategies that can help organizations evolve into data-driven businesses.
In addition to offering two tracks on Tuesday, May 13, and three tracks on Wednesday, May 14, Data Summit will also present a Data Solutions Showcase allowing attendees to connect face-to-face with the leading vendors. Pre-conference workshops will be also offered on Monday, May 12, focusing on areas such as “Hadoop Fundamentals” and “Agile Data Warehouse Design.”
