Cohesity, the leader in AI-powered data security, is bridging the gap between customer’s recovery response process and their incident response (IR) providers through an extension of the Cohesity Cyber Event Response Team (CERT). CERT is partnering with leading IR vendors—such as Palo Alto Networks Unit 42, Arctic Wolf, Sophos, Fenix24, and Semperis—to help accelerate and improve their clients’ response to cyber threats with Cohesity’s extensive data security and recovery expertise.
This expansion of CERT focuses on making the recovery process as simple as possible for its customers. As its clients communicate with their IR vendors to initiate recovery, CERT shares a set of customer-approved operational data—including details such as logs, reports, and inventories—to enable the IR vendor to perform more efficient, effective analysis and resolution. By opening a line of communication between Cohesity and its IR partners, customers benefit from the ability to streamline their cyber response and move to a clean recovery, faster.
“By building these…active relationships between these providers and our CERT team, that's the biggest differentiator [from other vendors], because communication is going to be key to getting back up and running faster,” said Chris Hoff, senior product marketing manager, Cohesity. “The ability for our customers to recover faster… [and shortening] that recovery window is going to [help them] save a significant amount of money.”
CERT offers expansive support through its rich data security and recovery expertise, serving to enhance the digital forensics, threat intelligence, and containment capabilities of IR partners, according to Cohesity. With CERT, customers can achieve:
- Minimized business disruption and financial loss through the rapid detection, investigation, and recovery from incidents
- Comprehensive, coordinated recovery by working alongside IR vendors to accelerate and improve recovery with customer-approved data sharing
- 24/7 availability and multi-vendor integrated support by handling a wide range of incident types and maintaining communication with customer and IR vendor throughout the incident recovery process
- Specialized expertise and proactive recommendations from the CERT team, providing customers with the necessary knowledge to effectively respond and recover from cyber threats
CERT is available to all Cohesity customers with their existing subscriptions. Cohesity plans to expand its list of IR partners, as well as develop more capabilities to enhance the investigation process.
“Let's face it, cyberattacks are not going away; they're plenty profitable for the bad guys. So, we'll be there to make sure that our customers are protected,” noted Hoff. "We're excited to be able to stand behind our products and stand behind our customers in both good times and bad.”
