Cognizant has acquired privately-held KBACE Technologies, Inc., a global consulting and technology services vendor specializing in cloud strategy, implementation, and integration.
Cognizant says the acquisition of KBACE, which has a sizable base of Oracle Cloud Applications customers, will help strengthen and expand its digital capabilities as more clients move business applications to cloud-based IT infrastructures to reduce costs and complexity and improve agility.
As part of the acquisition, approximately 400 KBACE consultants and implementation experts across industry and business functions will become part of Cognizant.

From KBACE’s standpoint, joining forces with Cognizant provides KBACE with the experience, strategic thinking, and resources to grow its cloud practice and further strengthen our relationship with Oracle to meet clients, added Mike Peterson, COO and president, KBACE.
KBACE is now represented as “KBACE, a Cognizant Company” on the company website. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
