Cloud Technology Partners, a provider of services and software to accelerate enterprise cloud implementations, has announced the general availability of its PaaSLane 2.0. PaaSLane is designed to accelerate migration and optimization of applications for cloud and supports cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Engine, Microsoft Azure, Pivotal CloudFoundry, and Apprenda. this is the first GA release from Cloud Technology Partners since the previous release of PaaSLane was only available in beta.
This solution can now analyze both Java and .NET application source code for compatibility with private and public cloud platforms.“The first version only supported Java and what we’ve added is C# .NET and that pretty much doubles our addressable market,” said Ben Grubin director of product management at Cloud Technology Partners.
PaaSLane has the ability to quickly review existing Java and .NET applications with the functionality to identify coding errors, hardcoded dependencies, security issues, scalability problems, and other factors, all of which are potential threats to derail an application migration project. This new technology has reduced the necessity for manual coding reviews, which can be time-consuming, and labor-intensive. According to the company, PaaSLane has proven to decrease migration times by months and eliminate hundreds of thousands of dollars in labor costs.
New features that have been added to this 2.0 release include a redesigned reporting interface, live drill-down into alert detail, interactive charting, and new options for delivering both management-level and detail reports in PDF and Excel formats.
