ClickSoftware Technologies Ltd., a provider of automated workforce management and optimization solutions for the service industry, has announced that its Mobility Suite will run on key components of the Sybase mobility platform - SQL Anywhere embedded database and synchronization and Afaria mobile device management and security - by the end of 2010.

In addition to the mobile service applications, The ClickSoftware Mobility Studio provides a complementary development platform that offers wizards to quickly define business processes and workflows without coding. Recognizing that mobile devices from Apple, Google, RIM, and others offer an excellent platform for business applications (as they do at the consumer level), the Mobility Studio offers tools to build user interfaces that it says are virtually device-agnostic, giving clients the freedom to choose from a broad range of popular devices. This application development platform and configuration tool enables ClickSoftware and its partners to rapidly build mobility applications to support the mobilization of SAP and ClickSoftware business processes in the field.
In addition to core field service functionality such as shift management, crew member allocations, mobile scheduling and appointment booking, ClickSoftware's Mobility Suite has been further enhanced to support Mobile Asset Management, Timesheets, Expenses and Payroll with tight integration into SAP ECC6, CRM and HCM. It utilizes the existing, mature, SAP/ClickSoftware NetWeaver integration in conjunction with Sybase's co-innovation with SAP. This enables SAP customers to mobilize ClickSoftware's Service Optimization processes and extend them to the field.
