ClearStory Data, an integrated application and platform, announced general availability of its first product, Data Intelligence, at the O’Reilly Strata Conference in New York.
Data Intelligence is an integrated application and platform that speeds access and insight to data from corporate and external sources to support rapid decision making. ClearStory Data is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Google Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
ClearStory’s mission is to simplify accessing, exploring, and analyzing data and they do this by offering an integrated application and platform that drastically changes how businesses consume data to accelerate the pace of informed and intelligent decision making.
ClearStory’s Data Intelligence solutions improves access to private data sources including structured and semi-structured data sources, files, and big data platforms, through automated Data Inference and Profiling that understands characteristics of the data such as source, size and type. In addition, according to the company the solution’s point-and-click access to external data, including premium and public sources, supports insights and enables new data discovery. External data is made accessible via an integrated marketplace called "Data You May Like” so it can be viewed in context with private data.
“One of the interesting things about this product is that there is so much technical depth to it,” said Stephanie McReynolds, vice president of marketing, ClearStory Data. Customers have been attracted to a number of innovations that they see in the ClearStory Data solution. “We have made it easy for someone with a non-technical skill set to gain access to data, interact with that data and make an informed decision and collaborate with their peers, “ explained McReynolds.
