Cirata Expands Databricks Partnership to Facilitate Seamless Cloud Migration and Modernization

Cirata, the company that automates Hadoop data transfer and integration to modern cloud analytics and AI platforms, is announcing an expansion of its partnership with Databricks, the data and AI company, with the aim of accelerating data migration and modernization in the cloud. By leveraging Cirata’s professional services and Data Migration as a Service (DMaaS) solution, enterprises benefit from the ability to seamlessly transition to Databricks’ Data Intelligence Platform, propelling their data and AI initiatives.

Central to this partnership is Cirata’s DMaaS offering, which allows organizations to efficiently and smoothly migrate from legacy data infrastructures. Facilitating the migration of Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) data, Hive metadata, and cloud data sources, Cirata works to optimize cloud environments while streamlining high-volume data transfers to minimize business disruption.

“We’re expanding our partnership with Databricks to deliver essential services to enterprises undertaking cloud modernization,” said Paul Scott-Murphy, chief technology officer at Cirata. “With Cirata DMaaS, we’re enabling deeper collaboration with Databricks, ensuring companies can migrate to the cloud with confidence, gain improved operational efficiency, and unlock significant value from their data.”

Cirata’s DMaaS and professional services ease the transition to the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, a solution built on lakehouse technology to provide an open, unified foundation for all data and governance, further powered by a Data Intelligence Engine that understands the uniqueness of data. When using the Data Intelligence Platform, enterprises can easily unlock the power of analytics and AI, as well as cloud native data processing.

Cirata also enables the migration to other modern platforms such as Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2, Google Cloud Storage, and Oracle Object Store, reducing migration time to as little as two weeks. Migrations are optimized to ensure business continuity with zero risk of data loss or system disruption, according to Cirata.
