CA Technologies announced new additions to its DevOps portfolio that spans development to production. New releases of CA’s core app and infrastructure monitoring products—CA Application Performance Management (CA APM), CA Performance Management and CA Virtual Network Assurance—are intended to speed software release velocity and improve customer experiences.
The enhancements include new and enhanced analytics in CA APM, alongside a redesigned interface, improve monitoring of user experiences across cloud, mobile and on-premises applications. CA APM is engineered to learn and adapt to predictively guide novice users to a suggested diagnosis of application issues—slashing the time and expertise needed.
CA APM integration with recently-launched CA App Experience Analytics also offers insight into user experience, app performance details and the overall health of web, mobile and wearable applications.
CA APM cloud connectors include extensions for Docker, Nginx and RabbitMQ, and are downloadable from the CA APM Marketplace. CA APM is also available in the AWS Marketplace for application performance monitoring.
CA also announced that CA BlazeMeter, an open source-based continuous application performance testing solution, adds integration with CA APM. CA BlazeMeter enables developers to simulate user experiences with application performance details from CA APM, directing DevOps teams to address potential performance issues early in the software development lifecycle.
New capabilities for CA Virtual Network Assurance and integration with CA Performance Management include support for software-defined network (SDN) controllers, such as Cisco ACI, Nokia Nuage, OpenDaylight, OpenStack, and VMware NSX.
