Bedrock Data has launched Fusion, SaaS software that reduces the time and cost associated with unifying customer data across cloud applications. According to Bedrock, the resulting Fused Database enables comprehensive analytics, business intelligence and real-time dashboards by eliminating the delays of data preparation.
Citing a commonly accepted assessment that data prep and ingestion typically take 80% of the time for an analytics project, Fusion decreases that time by automatically connecting to application data sources and combining customer data. Using Fusion, organizations can replace manual data preparation with a Fused Database, a continuous pipeline of unified customer data to feed reports, dashboards and BI tools such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Amazon QuickSight, YellowFin and Metabase.
A 360-degree view of the customer has been typically impossible to achieve due to the complexity and time spent unifying data across different data sources. Each application has its own siloed data, which are difficult to combine based on the unique data structure of each application. So business analysts are forced to spend far too many hours piecing data together from multiple systems to answer urgent requests from executives on the next critical business question.
Fusion addresses these operational challenges of achieving a 360-degree view of the customer by connecting to an organization’s SaaS applications via its APIs using pre-built connectors for a wide range of systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Marketo, HubSpot, ZenDesk, Freshdesk, HelpScout, Shopify and others. It ensures all records are accurately deduplicated, matched, mapped, resolved and normalized across systems. It builds a MySQL database housing the unified Fused Database, with a standardized data schema of object relationships, greatly simplifying the task of multi-dimensional data queries. And finally it provides standard SQL keys to access the warehouse via reporting, dashboard and analytics tools.
Bedrock Data is now running an early access program for Fusion at BedrockData.com/Try.
