Attunity Ltd., a provider of real-time data integration software, has introduced Attunity Replicate, high-performance data replication software. The new enterprise data replication solution emphasizes simplified user experience, quick time to value, and low cost of ownership, Itamar Ankorion, vice president of Business Development and Corporate Strategy, Attunity, tells 5 Minute Briefing. Attunity will present Attunity Replicate at Oracle OpenWorld, October 3-5, at booth #3728.
Attunity Replicate's architecture facilitates the replication of big transaction data from databases including Oracle, SQL Server and DB2. There are three key features to the Attunity Replicate approach, says Ankorion.
"First, we are bringing to market a ‘Click to Replicate' design to simplify the user experience by automating all the steps that would be required to build a data replication solution," says Ankorion. "It is really about the user experience and packaging all the different tasks and steps required for replication into one integrated synchronized software package."
The second key feature is its "zero-footprint' technology, says Ankorion. Attunity Replicate reduces the impact on database platforms and IT operations with log-based capture and delivery of transaction data that does not require Attunity software to be installed on each source and target database. This is very different from other enterprise solutions which require that the software be installed on every source and every target, says Ankorion. "That creates a lot of IT overhead especially when you talk about mainstream relational databases where you may have a lot of them."
And the third key element of the solution has to do with spending less money up-front, with licensing costs that can be as much as 50% lower than alternative data replication solutions, enabling customers to benefit from faster ROI and lower TCO, says Ankorion.
In addition to Oracle, SQL Server and DB2, the Attunity roadmap calls for rolling out support for additional systems in the enterprise data center and in the cloud, notes Ankorion.
"Attunity Replicate is the right solution at the right time, enabling virtually any organization to harness the value of real-time information and capitalize on quick time-to-value," observes Shimon Alon, chairman and CEO of Attunity.
Attunity also recently completed its previously announced acquisition of RepliWeb Inc., a U.S.-based provider of enterprise file replication and managed file transfer technologies. "The combination of Attunity Replicate and the file replication technologies we recently added through the RepliWeb acquisition creates a unique offering that will allow us to continue to expand our addressable markets and strengthen our leadership in real-time data integration."
Attunity will present and answer questions about Attunity Replicate at Oracle Open World 2011 at Attunity booth #3728 in the Moscone Convention Center's West Hall, and will also present Attunity Replicate at the first "Scene and Be Heard" theatre session on Monday, October 3, from 10:30 AM - 10:50 AM.
