Attunity Ltd., a provider of real-time data integration and event capture software, has announced a new release of its change data capture (CDC) and operational data replication (ODR) software with support for SQL Server 2008 R2. The software is now available with the Attunity CDC Suite for SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and a free trial is available for download on the Attunity website.
With Attunity's low-impact, log-based CDC technology, only the changes made to various enterprise data sources are captured and processed. In 2009, Attunity introduced the Attunity CDC Suite for SSIS, a line of operational data replication products fully integrated with Microsoft SQL Server SSIS that provides an end-to-end solution for replicating data between heterogeneous databases.
With this latest release, the Attunity CDC and ODR suite, certified with the latest CTP of SQL Server 2008 R2, can now capture and replicate changes made to the latest versions of SQL Server. "Today, we believe we are the first to announce and come to market with a heterogeneous data replication solution that supports SQL Server 2008 as a data platform, as a source of data, and not only that, we have also certified our product with SQL Server 2008 R2, which is the latest and greatest release that Microsoft is rolling out this year," Itamar Ankorion, director of marketing and business development at Attunity, tells 5 Minute Briefing.
Attunity SQL Server-CDC for SSIS supports log-based CDC for SQL Server 2008/2005/2000, with no installation on the data server; supports many SQL Server editions (not limited to Enterprise Edition); and also supports data replication into many heterogeneous target databases. It is fully integrated with SSIS and Business Intelligence Development Studio, and provides a management console to monitor and control the end-to-end heterogeneous replication.
