Attachmate Corp. has announced the release of a mobile version of its terminal emulation software. Reflection for UNIX, iOS and Android editions, is an enterprise-grade SSH client for mobile devices for connecting to UNIX and Linux systems, designed to provide IT administrators with 24x7 access.
The solution is based on a native 2-tier VT terminal client, leveraging the reliable Reflection brand synonymous with the UNIX/Linux platform.
“More and more corporate workers are shifting business productivity to their personal devices, as evidenced by the BYOD/BYOA trend. Reflection for UNIX enables IT administrators to leverage modern devices to accomplish real work,” said Kris Lall, product manager for Reflection for UNIX at Attachmate. “With native support for iPads and Android devices, IT administrators are no longer chained to the office or required to lug around a clunky laptop or other less portable device.
