Astera Software, a provider of data integration solutions through its Centerprise Data Integration platform, has announced the beta version of Centerprise Data Integration Real-Time Edition (RTE).
According to Astera, Centerprise RTE version 5.1 brings real-time change data capture (CDC), built-in web services, and a service-oriented architecture (SOA) integration approach to enterprises of all sizes, allowing them to deliver the most accurate and relevant business information where it is needed, when it is needed.
Historically, Centerprise has been a batch-oriented platform for moving data in batches at specified times, but with Centerprise Data Integration Real-Time Edition (RTE), Ibrahim Surani, CEO of Astera Software, tells 5 Minute Briefing, the company is adding the capability to move data in real time. The benefit to customers is that they can achieve better operational reporting or improved operational effectiveness as a result of multiple systems being in sync, and without the need to write custom programs, he notes.
Utilizing an intuitive drag-and-drop user interface, Centerprise RTE facilitates development of real-time integration dataflows and workflows. With this addition, companies can use Centerprise for multiple data delivery methods including batch, real-time, and SOA, utilizing the integration methodology that works best for their specific integration requirement.
Centerprise's parallel processing engine delivers the performance and scalability to efficiently process large data volumes. Its open architecture and 100% .NET APIs make it both customizable and extensible.
Centerprise RTE supports publisher-subscriber based real-time change data capture for popular databases including Sybase, Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, and Teradata. Additionally, Centerprise supports real-time integration with Salesforce.com via Salesforce workflow. General availability of Centerprise Data Integration Real-Time Edition (RTE) 5.1 is expected at the end of January.
