Arcitecta Launches Three Powerful, Efficient Data Management Solutions for Distributed Enterprises

Arcitecta, a creative and innovative data management software company, is announcing the launch of three new data management solutions—Mediaflux Multi-Site, Mediaflux Edge, and Mediaflux Burst—designed to help enterprises handle their increasingly distributed data and workflow environments.

Connecting data to users when and where they need is central to today’s modern, adaptable enterprise. Yet, increasingly distributed workforces and the need to conserve compute resources pose a difficult challenge for organizations seeking to advance efficient, innovative, and collaborative work environments.

Arcitecta’s latest solutions reflect the company’s evolving ecosystem of advanced data management capabilities, as well as meeting the increasingly complex needs of globally distributed organizations, according to the company. Between latency and application performance issues, challenges in delivering real-time data access on a global scale, and driving dynamic compute efficiency, Arcitecta’s new data management solutions tackle each of these pressing obstacles.

“Arcitecta’s mission is to advance data management to new heights, empowering our customers to excel in their fields—whether it’s creating the most innovative visual effects production, discovering life-saving treatments, or unlocking insights from satellite, sensor, and IoT data—without the burden of tedious data management,” said Jason Lohrey, CEO and founder of Arcitecta. “Our first principles approach of building from the ground up enables Arcitecta to solve problems others cannot. As a result, we are expanding our ecosystem of data management solutions that fit together like a puzzle, ensuring data is moved to the right place at the right time to optimize value for users.”

Mediaflux Multi-Site acts as a single, global namespace for all enterprise data, streamlining data management and providing global data accessibility. For organizations that are distributed across multiple countries, Mediaflux Multi-Site empowers true collaboration by enabling data and resources to be accessed in real time or near real time. Forwarding optimal data movement and fluidity, Mediaflux Multi-Site is delivered in one of two ways:

  • As a global file system (GFS) that uses the power of a single global namespace
  • As a federated file system (FFS) that uses multiple independent, synchronized namespaces for data sets that are separated by greater distances

With Mediaflux Edge, Arcitecta dramatically reduces redundant data transfers and streamlines network traffic to meet the low latency requirements of modern applications. Designed with a hub-and-spoke model for caching data at the edge, Mediaflux Edge boosts app performance by eliminating unnecessary end-to-end data transfers and keeping frequently accessed content close to users, thereby introducing several cost efficiencies, according to Arcitecta. Mediaflux Edge maintains a standard of data safety and security by keeping a copy of the data within a central repository, fully recoverable in the event of threats.

Finally, Mediaflux Burst is a hybrid solution for data-intensive burst computing, empowering enterprises to dynamically meet peak usage demands as needed. This allows organizations to avoid unnecessary spend on underutilized compute resources, where Mediaflux Burst decouples compute from data location to optimize data storage for cost or security while computing tasks are optimized for performance or scalability.
