Amplitude Debuts Web Experimentation, an Intuitive A/B Testing Tool for Driving Conversion Rates

Amplitude, a leading digital analytics platform, is debuting Web Experimentation, a solution that offers self-service A/B testing that enables enterprises to drive better conversion while preserving page performance. Designed for product managers, marketers, and growth leaders alike, Web Experimentation brings accessible, point-and-click interactions that accelerate A/B testing success.

Despite A/B testing being a crucial component of ensuring great user experiences, enterprises struggle with inaccessible tooling that is unable to scale, according to Amplitude. To fill this operational gap, Web Experimentation is a flexible, powerful solution that conserves engineering resources while empowering better business outcomes.

"Change is the only constant in technology. As a result, teams have to be ready to move faster than ever," said Francois Ajenstat, chief product officer at Amplitude. "We want to help anyone embrace experimentation without slowing them down. That's why we created a powerful Web Experimentation product that's easy to adopt, use, and scale. Now, anyone can run effective experiments that lead to better conversion and drive growth."

With Web Experimentation‘s visual experiment editor, teams are empowered to easily run complex testing directly on top of a website or single-page app (SPA) with clicks, not code. Users are guided with step-by-step assistance for setting up A/B tests, further accompanied by a custom code editor that—with little engineering help—allows teams to use blocks of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML to test modals, banners, page layouts, and more.

Web Experimentation is underpinned by Amplitude’s high-performance architecture, eliminating screen flicker and customizing tests with an assortment of built-in statistical algorithms—such as sequential testing, CUPED, and multi-armed bandits. Ultimately, insight-driven experiments bring enhanced personalization through a combination of customer insights and targeted A/B testing, increasing conversion rates.

“Experimentation is a fundamental part of our culture at Lendi, but a lot of the tools out there are complicated, clunky, and not scalable,” said Adam Craig, website product manager at Lendi Group. “Amplitude Web Experimentation is a game-changer for us. Our marketing and growth teams can now easily run their own experiments without engineering support. This sets us up to move faster and drive better conversion rates.”

Web Experimentation is now available for all Amplitude customers, included for free in Amplitude’s Starter plan.
