Accenture and Splunk have formed an alliance that integrates Splunk products and cloud services into Accenture’s application services, security, and digital offerings. The goal is to help customers improve business outcomes by mining vast amounts of application and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement that were previously difficult to detect.
Along with this partnership, Accenture says it is also expanding its network of trained Splunk practitioners meet client demand for operational intelligence solutions.
First Joint Offering is for Security Services
Accenture and Splunk are also collaborating on new packaged solutions, the first of which integrates Splunk analytics into Accenture’s Managed Security Services.
Accenture will provide Security Information Event Management As-a-Service to clients, using Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security to deliver advanced threat detection, correlation, search and incident management capabilities.
Additional solutions may be tailored to other business areas including digital, marketing and sales.
By enabling customers to mine and analyze machine data from back-end systems, call centers, web traffic, inventory levels, shipments and more, Accenture is helping IT play a greater role in influencing business performance, not simply IT performance, according to Bhaskar Ghosh, group chief executive, Accenture Technology Services.
