Unravel Data has announced that its platform has earned the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2, Type II certification from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
The application performance management (APM) platform provides visibility and AI-powered recommendations to drive more reliable performance in modern data applications.
The SOC 2 certification process is governed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
According to the organization, the SOC 2 certification is “intended to meet the needs of a broad range of users that need detailed information and assurance about the controls at a service organization relevant to security, availability, and processing integrity of the systems the service organization uses to process users’ data and the confidentiality and privacy of the information processed by these systems.” The SOC 2, Type II certification focuses on “management’s description of a service organization’s system and the suitability of the design and operating effectiveness of controls.”
“We understand our enterprise customers look to Unravel to ensure the right policies and procedures are in place to keep users safe from cyberattacks and vulnerabilities,” said Bala Venkatrao, chief product officer at Unravel Data. “As we aim to remain a trusted steward of our customer’s data, pursuing this certification is part of our ongoing commitment to help organizations better understand and improve the performance of their data-based applications, and to maintain the privacy of their customers’ data.”
To achieve the SOC 2 certification, cybersecurity and compliance firm, A-LIGN Assurance performed a test of the Unravel Data Platform and examined the company’s operations to ensure Unravel has adequate safeguards to prevent or mitigate any security threats.
