Rocket Software recently held a UniVerse Fundamentals class with the students located from New Jersey to China. Rocket's Instructor-Led Online Training (ILOT) allows students to save on the cost of travel while still participating in a real classroom. The next session in the SB/XA webinar series, "SB+ to SB/XA: As Easy as A-B-C!" is planned by Rocket for Thursday, February 10, Susie Siegesmund, vice president and general manager, Rocket U2, tells DBTA. SB/XA V6 includes the familiar SB+ Server and SBClient as well as the new graphical XUI clients. Users can move up to V6 without implementing any part of the new clients or architecture and benefit from the other fixes and enhancements this release brings to SB+ and SBClient.

On Tuesday, February 15, Rocket will hold a "U2 Replication" webinar.U2 Replication is one of major additions of new functionality to UniVerse 11.1. This webinar will provide an insight into what U2 Replication in capable of in terms of its HADR capabilities, offloading of reporting load and geographical distribution of processing, says Siegesmund. Attendees will see U2 Replication working, the administration and monitoring tools, and will see how the components of U2 Replication fit together.
