The Rocket U2 Denver team has moved its offices. The new address is 4600 S. Ulster Street, Suite 1100, Denver, Colo., 80237. All phone numbers and email addresses remain the same.
Additionally, Rocket Software has made a special product lifecycle end of marketing announcement for IBM-branded products. After September 30, 2010, Rocket will only distribute Rocket-branded versions of the U2 products. Existing customers can still acquire additional user licenses and maintenance for these versions, but replacement media will no longer be available. To determine the product lifecycle status of a given product version, see the product availability matrix on the Rocket U2 Support website.
Customers with questions can contact their maintenance provider or sales rep, or contact Rocket at u2askus@rs.com. As part of the rebranding process, legacy documentation will not be available after September 30. Rocket will remove old documentation from the website, leaving only Rocket Software-branded versions. Customers that wish to keep old versions should download them before that deadline, since after September 30, older documentation will no longer be available.
Rocket has also announced SB+ and SBClient V5.5. These releases remove IBM branding, resolve menu display issues in Windows Aero mode, and remove Btrieve from SBClient to eliminate conflict with third-party software that also uses Btrieve. The SB+ and SBClient default authorization period is now 10 days, which is in line with other Rocket U2 products.
Registration is open for U2 University 2010-11. This year's event, November 9-11 in Denver, Colo., features 56 unique technical sessions, eight of which are hands-on labs. Session abstracts are now posted at u2u.rocketsoftware.com. Free U2 Certification Tests will again be available at U2U. Pass your certification exam and you will receive a Rocket U2 Certified Professional logo to use on your business card or email signature line.
