Rocket Software has released U2 DataVu. It is the first entirely new product the U2 group has delivered since becoming part of Rocket Software, Susie Siegesmund, vice president and general manager, Rocket U2, tells DBTA.
"The query version of this product will be free to customers on maintenance, and downloadable from our website," Siegesmund notes. The full product allows customers to embed data visualizations within existing desktop of web applications, including visualization of data from multiple heterogeneous data sources. U2 DataVu provides tools to graphically build queries, design visual reports, and create professional dashboards with zero coding, utilizing drag-and-drop techniques from an Eclipse-based IDE.
In addition, Rocket also recently released UniVerse 11.1. Major enhancements include external database access (EDA), U2 replication, encryption of keys and indexes via automated data encryption (ADE), and extensible admin (XAdmin). "This is the most feature-rich release of UniVerse we've ever delivered," notes Siegesmund, "Rocket is committed to the success or our customers and to growing the U2 business, and the combination of UniVerse 11.1 and U2 DataVu 1.1 demonstrates the strength of that commitment."
