InterSystems Achieves ISO 9001:2008 Certification

InterSystems Corporation, a provider of advanced database, integration and analytics technologies, announced it has become ISO 9001:2008 certified. ISO 9001:2008 is a quality management standard, and for InterSystems, the certification covers all processes related to the product and service creation associated with the InterSystems CACHÉ high-performance database and InterSystems Ensemble integration and development platform that are performed or managed from InterSystems' Cambridge-based headquarters.

According to the company, the certification is a logical step along InterSystems' growth path, which began in Massachusetts in 1978 and has expanded to include offices in 23 countries. The certification gives clients the assurance that for the future, InterSystems has services and processes in place that will not only maintain their levels of excellence but also continue to improve over the long term, John Paladino, InterSystems vice president of Client Services, tells 5 Minute Briefing. "We are going to continue to provide excellent service and products and that is not going to become diluted and tainted as we grow. The consistency will continue to be there and there are continuous improvement processes in place."

InterSystems policies and procedures were audited in the U.S. to make sure that it meets ISO 9001:2008 requirement, and certifications are also expected for two additional locations outside the U.S. which were subsequently audited as well, says Paladino.
