Open source practices have become driving forces within the software industry, but they are still relatively new to hardware, noted The Linux Foundation's Libby Clark in a Linux.com blog. Clark highlighted the main points brought up on the final day of LinuxCon and CloudOpen by keynote speakers MakerBot VP Anthony Moschella, Open Prosthetics Project Founder and Iraq war veteran Jonathan Kuniholm, and IBM Power Systems General Manager Doug Balog. Each of them, said Clark, had a unique take on open source hardware.
