Computerworld’s Open Business Conference (OSBC) will take place April 29-30 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco. As part of the conference, the Open Virtualization Alliance (OVA) will present a panel discussion on how far open virtualization has come since OSBC last year, where KVM solutions are being used today, and what's next for the OVA. The session, “Virtualization Opens Up: KVM, OpenStack and the Virtualization of Everything,” is scheduled for Monday, April 29, at 3 pm.

The panel will include Al Gillen, Program Vice President, Systems Software, IDC; John Keese, Chief Executive Officer, Autonomic Resources; Ram Peddibhotla, Director, Planning and Product Marketing, Intel; Davide Ricci, Senior Product Manager, Wind River; Sean Xiang, CEO, Bloombase; and Moderator Jean Staten Healy, Director Worldwide Linux and Open Virtualization at IBM.

OSBC will provide the opportunity for attendees to hear from experts, as well as network with open source peers, developers and sponsors. OSBC sessions will provide information on how to build data-rich mobile services with open APIs to navigate the labyrinth of cloud computing projects; how to decipher the data explosion; how to capitalize on the cutting edge technologies, including Cassandra, Hadoop, and OpenStack; and ways to connect with the developers, users and companies behind technologies such as HTML5 frameworks. Conference tracks include Open Cloud, Open Data, Open Future, Open Legal, Open Mobile, and Open Source. More information about the conference is available here.
