The International Sybase User Group is pleased to announce the grand prize winner for its recent membership campaign "Get on the Go with ISUG."
"Each member of the organization who renewed or upgraded their membership in June was automatically placed into a special prize drawing," said Mike Harrold, Executive Director, ISUG. "The winner then had the choice of a GPS system or a 500GB pocket hard drive."
Leigh Thompson of the Australian Sybase User Group (ASUG) was declared the winner having been selected at random from all of the entries.
"Wow ... I'm stunned," commented the winner Thompson upon hearing the news. "Thank you very much for the opportunity to win this prize," he added, before opting for the GPS system which will soon be on its way to him by the shortest direct route.
With cutbacks at so many businesses around the globe becoming the daily norm, ISUG's individual members are the lifeblood of the organization. The combined wealth of community knowledge that exists inside ISUG is testimony to members' willingness and enthusiasm to get involved, whether it is through participation in roadshows, discussion groups or online forums.
"We recognize the financial reality faced by many of our individual members during tough economic times, and how important those members are to the organization," said Byran Enochs, ISUG President. "We activated this campaign and prize drawing as a big thank you to them for continuing to show their commitment to ISUG."
