It has often been said that the phrase “May you live in interesting times” is a curse. Well, right now, as I write this, and we’re in our seventh week of being locked down because of the Covid-19 pandemic, things certainly are interesting.
At Revelation Software, we strive to make sure that our OpenInsight product suite contains the tools and capabilities that our customers need to make their applications work the way their customers want them to work—we’ve said this before.
But now, (and use the buzz phrase of your choice—in these uncertain times, in this new normal, these unforeseen conditions, etc.), things are different, and so we’re reacting differently as well. While our staff is all working from home currently, we’re still fulfilling orders, developing software, providing support, and generally trying to maintain business as usual for those who are dependent upon us.
We know that finances have gotten tighter for several of our customers, and we are being as understanding as we can be. We are providing longer terms on existing contracts or extending expiration dates until they can get a better footing under them. We know things are tough all over, for a lot of us, and we’re helping as much as we can, in our little corner of the world.
We’ve continued to enhance our product line, knowing that there may be a new workplace in the future. More working remotely results in printing challenges, and technology changes. Customer expectations and needs change, because of changes that affect all of us. Developers need a product that lets them leverage their experience and skills, from wherever they are. We believe that we’ve made OpenInsight a product that lets this happen.
