Said Ouissal is the senior vice-president, product management and strategy, at Violin. He joined the company in March 2014.
Said has an established track record in both hardware and software product management for well-known, global technology companies.
Most recently, he served as vice president, product management for Juniper Networks where he drove the product management efforts supporting Junos, Juniper’s operating system. Prior to Juniper, Said held the position of vice president, strategy and customer engagement at Ericsson where he was responsible for portfolio strategy, field enablement and sales support for Ericsson’s IP and Broadband products.
Before joining Ericsson, Said held the position of director and vice president, systems engineering for Redback Networks, Inc. from 2001 to 2009, where he lead a global team of technical pre-sales staff that helped the company triple its revenue.
Said holds a Bachelor’s of Computer Science degree from the Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. He also invented two IP networking technologies and speaks five languages.
