ANNE BUFF is a Business Solutions Manager and Thought Leader for SAS Best Practices, a thought leadership organization at SAS institute. As a speaker and author she specializes in the topics of data governance, stewardship, data strat-egy, monetization and the data organization. Her energy, excitement and enthu-siasm for all things data will grab you in ways you never expected, leaving you refreshed and ready to take on your toughest of data issues.
Anne has been a specialist in the world of data for almost 20 years and has developed courseware for a wide range of technical concepts and software in-cluding SAS® Data Management. In her current role, she leverages her train-ing, consulting experience and data-savviness to lead best practices workshops and facilitate intra-team dialogs to help companies realize their “data potential.”
Anne is passionate about sharing her love for data and ensuring everyone knows the technical world can (and should) be FUN! Before joining SAS, she developed a vocational training rehabilitation program that helped over 1,000 local dis-placed workers gain skills to re-enter the workforce in technology positions.
Anne went to clown school as a child, which culminated in spending a week with the circus, an experience that taught Anne to always have fun in her job. She went on to attain a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication from West Virginia University, which wasn’t as fun as the circus — but it has taught her all about juggling corporate teams. Her mission is to help you find your love for data because (as she says) it will love you back.
