He is a seasoned database professional with forty years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex database systems. He has been fortunate to work with the latest technologies for SingleStore, Cognos, Tessera, Bluestem Brands, Mercer, and Data General. His experience spans traditional RDBMS, data lakes, data warehouses and cloud solutions. Throughout Ian's career, he has played a key role in the successful implementation of numerous database projects across various industries, including retail, supply chain and financial services. Ian’s unique perspective is based on hands-on architecture and development moving from homegrown data structures to the most modern databases in the market today.
