IBM unveiled details of its new Telum Processor which is designed to bring deep learning inference to enterprise workloads to help address fraud in real-time. Introduced at the annual Hot Chips conference, IBM said Telum is its first processor that contains on-chip acceleration for AI inferencing while a transaction is taking place. IBM is bringing advanced data protection capabilities to the IBM FlashSystem family of all-flash arrays to help companies better plan for—and recover quickly from—ransomware and other cyberattacks.
